Menai Corporation, a privately-held Silicon Valley software and consulting company, was founded in 1991 in Menlo Park, California, to focus on loosely-coupled, distributed networking. The company, known to the customers of its Gamelon® product line for providing high quality, professional products with excellent documentation and support, is now offering the consulting services of its core staff of experienced software engineers.
The Menai team was assembled to solve problems. Each team member was selected for his or her unique balance of creativity, innovativeness, diverse experience, and down-to-earth practicality. The team offers a rare combination of business insight and solid engineering skill.
The members of the Menai team have honed the synergies of teamwork during the development of the Gamelon technology. This technology is based upon an object-oriented, persistent storage foundation, called Gamelon. Upon this foundation, the Gamelon technology adds capabilities to enable loosely-coupled, distributed networking. Menai offers the foundation components of the Gamelon product line in shrink-wrapped form and the rest through custom development to meet the needs of our customers.
In addition to core programming and project management ability, Menai has developed several specialties. Menai has focused its software development and custom programming on loosely-coupled, distributed networking, the natural form of networking for groupware, workflow, the Internet, intranets, the World Wide Web, distributed computing, and mobile computing.
The Menai team has solid experience integrating multiple programming languages (C, C++, Pascal, Visual Basic, Delphi, Java, etc.) and diverse software technologies (TCP/IP, HTML, Web browsers and servers, ActiveX, OLE, CORBA, SQL, Client/Server, etc.). We have extensive experience porting software among platforms and supporting multiple platforms from a single code base.
